The book is very informative for the role player. It also gives GM's a great starting point for their own scenarios, with NPC's ready for use...or maybe 'tweaked' a bit.
I really prefer the Classic Battletech over the newer incarnation. Revising and updating the original House and Field Manuals are a welcome addition to my library.
