I recommend this book for those who plan to work in the ER with no prior ED experience (nursing students, new grades or even nurses from other area of nursing

This book was helpful because it provided good information that was short and sweet and to the point! Working in the ER can be difficult! Having a reference book on hand can help a whole lot when your work computer doesn't allow you to surf the net for a quick refresher on information a patients family member just asked you!

Very helpful for a new ER nurse! The indexes in the back on commonly used ER drugs is especially useful!

This is a great first choice book, for very fast info. But is should be used with a more thorough book like: Sheehy's Emergency Care. Sheehy's has a lot more in depth information. But this book is fast, to the point, and directs you in what to look up, it is also smaller and easier to take to a fast-food restaurant so you can study while you eat.

If you are a graduate nurse or new to the ED, this book is a MUST HAVE!! Much of the information in this book was covered in my ED orientation. This book gave me the working knowledge that I needed to jump start my ED training. Plus, this book provides a patho and nursing intervention review, including common meds used in the ED. Great book, highly recommend it if you are entering the ED.

Great for new nurses and great for those nurses who want to review quickly. Very well written and easy to study.

Don't waste your money on this book. This is very very very basic information that you can get from Google or even an old med surg book. "Keep a stash of dark chocolate on hand. They are a good source of antioxidants and energy." This is a quote from the book. This basically how this whole book is written. Again, save your money.

I really enjoyed this quick reference book. I actually attended a PALS class taught by the author. She is very knowledgeable and enjoys sharing this knowledge with other nurses. I would definitely recommend this for anyone that is new to ER nursing or returning like me!
