Good, advanced book for the patient who has developed some frustration with our styles of interacting in healthcare.Strengths: Very detailed, well laid out, rich with useful information.Weaknesses: Somewhat long, lacking clear chapter outlines or simplified summaries.
Pretends to be fair minded assessment of doctor-patient communications, is more an apology/self-justification for the arrogance (yes) and limited caring ability of modern doctors..Patients who have real problems with doctors are not even going to try and find a better way to communicate with them and are not going to read this book! Therefore it is pretty useless
I haven't read it at all yet. I bought it as a gift for a friend that doesn't know how to talk to her DR. :) it did show up on time, and looks good.
