This book aims to be so broad that it is not useful. I am working on a residential care home for older adults, and so much of the information revolves around getting grants for starting various kinds of government reimbursed facilities and the process for doing so that it was of no use to me. I don't know how updated the book is for that information. I returned it because it did not provide any value to me. If you are new to the entire field and looking for a broad overview, perhaps this is useful. Otherwise, keep looking for good information.

Many of us need to care for our elderly parents, and this book will help you think of some of the questions to discuss before making that move. Other opportunities may just drop in our laps where we might end up caring for an elderly person. It is important to keep them moving and doing for themselves, and even though it takes them longer to do it for themselves it is important to let them have that independence.Make them happy where ever they might end up. Care can be at home or in a home.
