This book doesn't help you in any way to highlight the highly tested areas. While knowing everything is the key, remembering all of it is more difficult than you think. Like Becker, that gives you a lecture on everything, then highlight the highly tested areas, Wiley just jumbles some information in a book. BECKER is the best!
I made a 99 after previously failing the exam. Get this, do the questions, and check the AICPA's recently released test questions, which you should be able to find for free online, likely from a Becker link. Cheapest way to prepare for the exam.
There are new auditing standards called clarified auditing standards that are being tested starting July 1 2013, and this book doesn't have it. I would not get this book unless you can take the test before then. I ordered it without knowing.UPDATE: It was pointed out to me in the comments section that it DOES have the updated standards in a separate section. I am sorry I made the mistake. I do think it would have been helpful if Wiley posted it on on the front or back cover, or at the very least the description. Transitions in testing often has many people asking what the review material has. I do think it is a good book and will be very helpful although I can't compare it to others. Those that voted my review "helpful" were wrong.
Though your eyes might be slightly crossed after reading this book, it is a great tool to prepare for the CPA exam. It is a bit challenging to navigate between the test questions and solutions using the Kindle.
I passed all four parts of the CPA exam and personally AUD was the hardest. I failed twice. If you will start studying for AUD exam, this text book will not be enough. I also studied Gleim and CPA online totaling approximately 4500 multiple choice questions. In addition I also did simulations in Bisk's text book.
This will be a great book to help me study for the CPA exam.
Great price for book. Truly helped me understand how to tackle multiple choice questions for Auditing exams in my graduate program. Some of the questions were almost identical. Arrived quickly.
Not that anyone should be "loving" a CPA exam book, but it definitely helped my pass the exam.I would recommend this book to anyone.
