This is the perfect review and practice for the nursing exam. This book consists entirely of questions as you'd experience on the exam itself, broken down into four units: Adults with Med-Surg disorders, Childbearing families, Children, and Mental Health. There is then a last section that includes two comprehensive practice tests with their answers to immediately follow.Each main unit takes you through questions related to that specific unit, with the answers and explanations to follow once you've gone through all the questions. The comprehensive exams follow this same format, but of course are a mixed bag of questions rather than specific to the unit topic. There is also test taking strategies included with each question answer, to help better prepare you for the test and give you a more overall good feeling going in that goes beyond knowing one specific answer. At almost 700 pages, this is definitely a hefty book but very comprehensive and worthwhile.
Just found out today that I passed my NCLEX PN after being out of school over 2 years. This was my main study book. I read the book front to back several times and feel the questions in this book were much harder than the NCLEX. This is an awesome study book. I used this along with Kaplan and ATI.
This item came wrapped and delivered just in time like it said . It helped me pass my boards, it was a great tool combined with other study materials. Some of the questions are worded closely like the NCLEX was.
I used this book to study for my NCLEX PN. This was the only book I used and I found it really helpful. I liked the style of the questions and how many tests there were. They divide it up by disorders, and there are 2 accumulative tests in the back. I took my exam on a Saturday and got my letter a week later saying I passed. I highly recommend this book.
Same questions as previous edition not worth the higher price. Overall is a very high quality book. I love how the questions are split up into sections. The alternative format are a different color for a quick review of only those type of questions. Literally my go to book for studying!
This review book is awesome! I have not yet take my state board exam, but this book is all I needed to refresh my memory since I left school for like 7 months now. Take my advice go get one! Now!!
It's a great learning tool. It breaks the subject matter down specific. Helps me pass my tests in class.
Very good Nclex study material especially if u have trouble with SATA questions, this book is full of SATA questions to help your studies. I read it twice and was ready to write my exam and I did pass over a year now.
