This book was awesome!! I read the reviews and they were totally accurate. My percentage on practice exams surely went up. I wish I had it when I started nursing school. It is great for both new students and those ready to take their boards. Totally recommend it to any fellow nursing student
For a beginning nursing student, like myself, the book was AMAZING! My college requires us to take Kaplan exams for each class to judge our level of understanding and this strategy guide helped me understand exactly what each question was asking and how to weed out the "fluff". I seriously can't say enough positive things about this guide. I passed my first semester exams with flying colors with these strategies in mind. If you need help or just aren't understanding what your professors exam questions are asking...seriously buy this.
Great Book for a beginning nursing student. It teaches you how to take a nursing exam. I went from a C on my first exam to an A on the 4 following exams.
If only Id read this book before I started nursing school. Its great that it teaches you what key words to look for in an answer and how you can keep yourself from becoming confused by hard questions. I started reading this in my last semester of nursing school. My advice is to read it asap. Great addition to your studies if your school makes you take a standardized test to graduate

I am in Nursing School and I have been using these strategies and they have helped me tremendously on tests. I managed to get a B on my first test which many people failed. I also got an A on my 2nd test ever in Nursing school!!! I think it has a lot to do with this book and the study tips offered in it. I think that it is very important to find which study method works for you and stick to it. This book offers many different suggestions so that you can figure this out for yourself. You also get online questions which are very helpful for studying! I use these questions before each test to practice and study which I think is why I have done so well as there is a large variety and you can pick and chose as to which areas you want to work on and it creates a little test for you. AWESOME resource to have.
I am a nurse who took the boards in 1975 and passed using only my education and one study book. I bought this for my cousin who just graduated from Nursing School. She has not taken her boards yet but reports that this book is different from other study books. I will update this review when we have more news.
Great for understanding questions on the nclex. Wish I had this my first semester!
