The book was easy to read and the rationales helped to make the study expeience more productive. It met my expectations and I felt ready for the exam after going through the material and I passed the NCLEX with 75 questions
The book is helpful to a point, however many of the rationale's are not very thorough. The thing I am most disappointed in however is that the online content is identical to the questions in the book. After completing all of the book questions I went to the online site in hopes of doing more practice and experiencing some of the Audio Questions that are mentioned on the cover of the book, only to find that the online questions are identical to the questions in the book. Where are the audio questions then? Additionally some of the online questions will mention to refer to the chart but then have the wrong chart listed. Because I've already done all the questions once I recognized that the chart belonged to a different question.I suppose the online content is helpful in that you can do all the questions more then once but I'm disappointed that the content online wasn't new and that there are no audio questions, as that is something I struggle with and was hoping to practice before the NCLEX.
It was a great help at the end of doing 1100 questions on Kaplan. I passed NCLEX on the first time at 78 questions. You guys can do this!!
I think this was a great little supplement to my studying. The questions were good as well as the rational. The biggest problem was that the answers and rational are on the same page. Meaning that the pages are split vertically in half, the left half has the question and the right half of each page has the answer and rational. At least it makes it really easy to find the answer ;) To get around this, simply have a piece of paper to cover the other half of the page. Inconvenient, but honestly i didn't find it to be too much of a big deal (Note: I did decide NOT to buy the kindle version for this reason, I feel this would be more annoying). Alt format questions are becoming very very common with the new test format. Of my 75 questions, more than 40% were Alt format. Good Luck!
Most teachers don't include questions with audio or complex graphics and charting on tests. This is a great way to review for questions like that on NCLEX. I heard around 15% of the questions on the new NCLEX are in this format.
Helpful in nursing school especially since the instructors are not. The schools expect students to know what a 5 year post grad knows and uses questions from the NCLEX books. This is a must for nursing students.
I bought this book for my kindle. The questions are perfectly fine for studying but there is a huge flaw: the answers on on the same page as the questions so it is impossible to really quiz yourself. I don't recommend spending money on this as it it is currently formatted.
I love this book! I passed my NCLEX exam with the help of this book. Most of my questions were SATA (select all that apply) questions and I am so glad I finished this book before taking my NCLEX. I would recommend this book! I also studied La Charity's book together with this book and I studied them about 2-3 times. Good luck to everyone who will take their exam! Study Hard.
