This is far and above the best book for LPN students. I checked out many books from the library and then found this one. The book is broken down into systems with a great review of that system before the questions. The disc is set up with numerous ways to take tests and from former LPN students, it is similar to the actual NCLEX.
Used 4 different review manuals to study for NCLEX. Saunders blows all others out of the water! Once I took the nclex, I knew why it is such a popular review book; Questions are worded most closely to actual nclex. The CD is invaluable! USE THIS BOOK THROUGHOUT NURSING SCHOOL TO HELP WITH YOUR EXAMS, you won't be disappointed. This review helps you understand how to answer & use NURSE LOGIC. The very best rationales of all I used. was the quickest and least expensive way to obtain this book. It was even a better value than buying it used elsewhere! My daughter passed her exam without breaking a sweat, because she felt she was well prepared thanks to the book.
I don't normally write a review, but this one is worth writing one... OMG. this book help me pass the nclex. Graduated PN Aug. 15 and took the test sept 5. All I did is review the questions on this and read each rationale and strategy. I did about 100 to 150 question a day. I passed the nclex with only 85 question!!!!
I found this book to be the most helpful with studying for the nclex pn. it breaks everything done nicely and gives you amazing rationeles for each question and shows you how to use process of elimination and crictical thinking to reach the correct answers.highly recommend this book to anyone looking for help studying.
I know this says review for the NCLEX-PN, but it would be wise to buy as soon as you get accepted into nursing program. A great tool to reinforce lectures and preparation for questions on exams /quizzes. Most instructors will start preparing you early by quizzing students in that format.The information is formatted nicely and the book is easy to understand. It also comes with the rationales for why the answers that are correct were chosen and the reason why other answers are wrong.The online aspect of the book has additional practice questions and you can change the formatting, if desired.
I've been out of school for over a year+ I read this book front to back and I passed ! This book really gets the important topics across and makes you remember it!
I sooo wanted to do this review! Because I rely on customer reviews, I totally bought this book after reading the reviews. A little about me, I worked fulltime through nursing school,and I am a single father. I honestly slept through lectures and I concentrated on my clinicals. And I couldn't have passed my exams without this book! It definitely is comprehensive! And it's the one and only book you need. I passed my nclex on first try, passed my lecture exams, and there's no way I would have truly have done it without this book. How did I use this book? Good question. I didn't use the book! (You probably think I am crazy, but keep reading) I solely used the cd that came with the book. I honestly did every question on all the chapters on that cd. It's the best study tool and its very easy to use and follow. To me it was the better than reading the book. And by the way, I only used the study tab. I haven't done the quizzes or the exams. As you study, make sure you click on the rational and strategies. I truly enjoyed clicking on the rationals and strategies on all my study questions, and it didn't matter whether I got it right or wrong. The rationals explain better than any lecture teacher can. And yes, you read that correctly!:-) . The rationals covers more than the specific question at hand. It opens you to a wider knowledge base, and the strategies would definitely help you on your nclex! please buy this book! It has saved my life.
