i was disappointed to find that this book was not what i expected. I imagined this book to be test and answers and explanations of the answers but instead this book is only tests and answers, and barely gives you any other in site. The book did some what help, because it helped show me what kind and type of questions are on the test. But whatever I didn't know or didn't understand I had to research myself.
There were so many situational questions in the book and none on the exam that I took. The one I took was all math. Only one section of the prep touched a little on what was asked regarding the use of charts and word type problems. I am glad I bought the book because it gave me a sense of confidence going in which helped. There was also a 5 min comparison test that resembled some of the examples in the book. All in all it was of some benefit but not that much.
I found this prep book to be very helpful and would highly recommend it, in fact I have to several people who were also preparing for the exam at the same time. The test questions prepared me for my exam by allowing me an opportunity to practice and to be prepared. Even though it isn't "County" specific, it's apparent that they have done enough research to know in general what types of questions will be on any Civil Service exam so you will feel prepared for anything thrown at you! This book is very informative shows exactly what to expect on test,what to at expect at board review if hired
I tested for Eligibility Worker Trainee. This book was pretty dead-on and helped a lot in preparing for those tough scenario questions. It doesn't really have a table of contents unfortunately though.
It was not an informative book for the eligibility specialist exam. It's out dated! Do not buy waste of good $30
Exactly what we needed to prep for testing/interview.
