It is hard to believe, but Aikman has taken a turgid subject into a compelling analysis of an evolving subject. He examines court administration on a very comprehensive basis. He provides incredible insight into the dynamics of dealing with judges and the mechanics of moving paper. He makes a case that the "science" of court administration" is moving into a new iteration. The Maslow's pyramid of needs is a useful construct, but he overdoes the analogy.Anyone who wants to learn about court adminstration of anyone who is a court administrator and who wants to add structure to her/his thinking, The Art and Practice is a MUST READ.
