A book with lots of information told in a lighthearted way. You will be cheering for the chipmunks - each with their own name and habits. It is loaded with tidbits regarding their lifestyle, habitat, interaction (or lack thereof) with others, and why you often see them with full pouches!
A delightful book written by a retired biochemist researcher and past professor of mine. He told me some time ago that he observed the apparent relationships between the chipmunks in his yard, and decided to learn more about these little critters. Learn, he did, by setting up microphones in various places on his property, and "getting to know" his little neighbors. The result of his "research" is a fun, fascinating tale of "family," to be enjoyed by all. No biochemistry prerequisites needed!
Very charming book., yet rigorously researched. Tells you everything you will need to know about eastern chipmunks. The author's love of animals is endearing.
