This book continues White Wolf's line of "splatbooks", smaller sourcebooks which take a subdivision of playable characters and expand upon them. Ideally for the player, this means they have new insight into a character type. Ideally for White Wolf, this means people will buy the book. All cynicism aside, though, this one actually IS quite good. A small note beforehand makes it clear why worship of Mela, the Air dragon, is most widespread among those who worship the five immaculate dragons. And the characters themselves are largely interesting. Medalus is something of an exception, mind, but he has an interesting family background. The others, though, manage to have interesting personalities or plot hooks: Kes is a gateway (read: chess) master, super-spy, and idle noble with the best of intentions. Arada is a general who once could have become emperor after the empress disappeared, soured on the Realm. Elana and Kasif are likewise workable characters, with plot developments in the near future that would be fascinating, if they were actual player characters.I highly suggest this book, if you want to look at the Exalted Splats. The game as a whole, though, comes highly recommended from me, so I may be biased.
