Karen Curry has managed to take a complicated topic, Human Design, and break it down into understandable pieces. Most importantly, she has blessed us with a tool that paves a path for loving ourselves more deeply.I have studied Human Design for about 8 years now and it never ceases to amaze and delight me. The insight into how I engage in the world is key, but what's also huge is insight into those around me as well. My relationships are healthier, my parenting is stronger, my business is vibrant and I am a very happy woman in large part because Human Design has validated who I really am.What I love most about this book is Karen's approach to teaching. It is steeped in love and genuine compassion for a better world. She's included coaching tools such as affirmations, writing assignments and things to consider about different aspects of design.Whether you are an old pro or a newbie (especially if you are a newbie!) don't be shy! The book Understanding Human Design by Karen Curry is awesome and I can't put it down, it is so juicy with great, informative information. I have read some of the other Human Design books, but this one is my favorite because it is so easy to understand and yet so full of detailed information. It really helps you understand and work with your type. For example, I am a Generator and am to wait to respond and run by my sacral. Have your chart handy when using this book. This book is great read for new students of human design or experienced students of Human Design! Get the book, you will be glad you did! Many thanks to Karen Curry for writing such a great book!
I find this to be the best book out on HD. The other books are good and full of information, however Karen writes in a way that is so easy to understand. Absolutely love this book. Recommend it to beginners and those advanced in HD.
According to the book, about 70% of our personality can be explained by understanding the incarnation cross, yet it is the one part of the book that isn't covered (the authors said there wasn't space). I don't understand the logic of excluding this most significant element of human design, yet going into the knitty-gritty details of the many less significant aspects. Shouldn't it be the other way around? I assume this is done to peak curiosity so ppl will end up needing a coach to interpret the chart. I'm bummed....I feel like I missed the punch line of a joke and am left unsatisfied.
Through Karen's enormous heart and love of and for humanity, she has brought forth easily understandable information you can immediately put into practice. As you explore through the lens of Human Design, you will experience greater love and acceptance of both self as well as others. Seeing your life within a different context and with greater understanding, judgment, guilt and shame will fall away. At the same time you will experience living an empowered life without resistance and in alignment with the miraculous gift you are which in turn will blesses us all.
There are other books on Human Design easier to use because their format is easier to follow, but when reading the gates and channel information there is a marked dissimilarity. I think this book stays truer to the official International Human Design.Learning Human Design is not for the lazy person wanting an easy and quick understanding of what it actually says about how we humans are designed. As soon as I think I have understood, I am surprised to find another layer that enhances what I have just learned. It is like the doors to comprehension open up and the next deeper level of the design is presented. No one is doing it, there is no mystery, it is your own conscious awareness expanding.
Great book on Human Design. It's very clear - much clearer than other recent books I've read - and it makes it fun to read about your chart. The added bonus of affirmations and writing exercises at the end of each channel description is a great way to better understand who you are and how you flow on purpose, as opposed to living a purpose, through life.
This book introduces a whole new avenue of study for me. I have always done astrology but knew there had to be more to it.I don't totally understand it yet but I will keep investigating it . There is truth there, at least my truth. Timing has always beena problem for me and I can see where it complements astrology and some other disciplines.
