5 stars for a textbook? It's well-written, and written in an easy to understand manner. The pages are not glossy so any notes you write in pen will not smear. There are ample exercises for you to get a feel for what you are doing. My highlighter did not bleed through the pages. They font is a good size. This line of books has been very helpful for my coding classes.If you get the version with the answers, please be advised that the answers are on the same page as the exercises and NOT in the back of the book.
This book is a great tool in learning ICD-10. I purchased this for a class I am currently taking, which is why I got the book without answers in it. This is an upgrade from the ICD-9 version of this book. The text is a bit more colorful and bright. that is a good thing in my opinion. The only thing I wish this book did have was a reprint of CPT and ICD-10 official guidelines for easy reference.
This book instructs the reader how to use the ICD-10-CM and -PCS code books. This subject is new to me and I've not read other such books so I have no benchmark. So far, it seems well put-together and written as succinctly as possible given the subject matter. I'd prefer to have a spiral-bound version (if it exists); it would lie flat and be easier to read while eating.
