The fifth edition I received in January 2016 still contained references to ICD-9-CM which was replaced by ICD-10-CM in October 2015. It proved to be relatively useless as a training tool for future CPC Certification Exams. I expected better with the AAPC logo. ICD-10-CM is needed now.The topical organization and explanations remain helpful. I would have loved it last year.Jim Cummings, AAPC member

This is the guy. This book will make you pass the exam. I read the book two times and I was ready for the exam. I am not a coder by profession I just one to add this to my list of titles and to increase my knowledge. I also recommend to purchase the questions in the website. I pass with a 92% score. The best book to learn coding.
I passed the Cpc recently and this book is really only helpful with the modifiers and understanding them better. It's laid out different from the test and does not stress the importance of time on the exam. The sections are not like the test.
Getting ready for the exam in June. Feeling more and more confident.
