I am currently taking an ICD-10-CM class and needed this book. It arrived quickly and in excellent condition. I love this book, it is color coded and easy to use. It is just a draft, but it has the coding rules and regs and loads of information. I recommend this book.
In nice new condition. Needed the book to get me acquainted with the chapters. It is the 2011 draft version, and the word "DRAFT" is written diagonally across each page. It is good enough for what I needed at this point. I am a certified Ahima coder.
i considered this item because of the implementation of ICD-10-CM. I had to learn to code ICD-9-CM myself without the help of the school I attended and graduated from in 2012. The book gives me all the help I need to learn the new coding scenarios which are a help to me when you are trying to learn something on your own time. I would recommend this book to someone in my position.
I do not feel it is necessary for an experienced coder to purchase the ICD-10-CM diagnoses draft ahead of time before 2013; it is a waste of money. It has the same set up as the current books, but with more detail.
