I purchased this very expensive book to read at home to supplement my employer's training efforts for the upcoming transition from ICD-9 to ICD-10. You must register online to get the answers to the practice exercises. If you register as a student, you will get only a partial answer key ( the answers to only odd numbered questions for example). Once I realized this, I contacted the publisher to explain that I was studying independently, and would like a full answer key to check myself. Their answer was this : "Unfortunately the answers are only available to verified instructors. Students and independent learners are unable to gain access to that content." This doesn't make sense to me, since the AHA textbook ( formerly by Faye Brown) is available in two versions: with answers (all of them) or without answers. If you are a first time student, you know which one to get. This is just foolish.

ICD 10 Coding theory and practice is great. I wish I had this when I was taking the class. Great to keep up on what I do not work on, on a daily basis.
