This book has been so helpful during Nursing School. It puts the tests in basic english so that you can have a general understanding and has handy normal ranges for labs in the back. Since we don't really get a lot of instruction on labs and diagnostics in my program, this book has been great for supplementing my education.
Highly recommend for nursing school. The authors give a simple definition for each test, a rationale behind the diagnostic test (i.e., "what it means"), and "what needs to be done" for each test. I thought this might be a good source of information for my students. It is disappointingly not. Very simplistic explanations that would not even be sufficient for the general public, much less providers of health care. I generally like this series but this is not their best one.
I buy this brand books to help me in nursing school. they simplify things very well and give helpful hints in how to remember things. have bought many of these books and plan to buy many more.
