With most the schools in this country turning to common core math I thought this would be helpful for my daughter who is in 6th grade. Unfortunately this doesn't show as much as I expected. It may work for others but just didn't cut it for us.
I bought this for my daughter in the 5th grade. I noticed that a lot of the material that she is covering in 5th grade is listed on this so I knew that I'd get at least 2 years of use out of it. It is an excellent resource to have sitting on the desk while doing math homework.
Not the most user friendly and I am not sure that it aligns completely with the spirit of common core, but does show some examples that do. I would not buy a class set for all of my students like I had planned. Glad I bought 1 to check it out first.
My daughter is enrolled in home school and while she would normally be in sixth grade, she is ahead with her math so I enrolled her in seventh grade. However, she still had to take NC standardized testing for sixth grade, so I bought this to make sure she could cover all the areas she may not have studied. It was a great help to her. Would definitely recommend it as a great study aid.
This is a perfect, laminated reference guide for anyone teaching 6th grade math. A must have to keep up with the CCSS!!
This is an easy way to keep check with the required objectives. I like the laminated version.Very good resource.
