Thank you Dr. Burns for your Godly lessons on this subject. I am 54 years old and purchased the book because of my 6 yr. old granddaughter. She is "absorbing values" about sex that are not biblical. I feel it is my position as her grandmother to teach her what God's Word says about sex. Thank you for all of the books on this top. I have already used the books for 3-5 yr. olds and the one for 6-9 yr. olds. I plan on continuing to look for opportunities to dialog the subject with her. I highly recommend this book for all parents. Please, for you and your child's sake and safety, read this book.
Great read. I have selectively read a few chapters to answer lingering questions our 11 year old had. The information in the book is overall too advanced for him but he was ready for the j formation of two of the chapters so we just sad down and I read them to him.
In a world where values and morals are on a slippery decline, this book is a refreshing reminder of why parents need to be grownups, and to live beyond ourselves - for our children. It's hard work, and it's not for cowards, but the youngens are worth it! Here's to the next generation of healthy men and women! Thanks, Jim!
I will recommend this book, very interesting. My daughter is 9 years old but I am trying to be prepared early.
Jim Burns is practical and encouraging. Offers insight and resources for parents raising children today who are exposed to numerous messages about sexuality. Great navigating tool for parents.
Dr. Jim Burns has been in the advice business for more than 25 years. He does an excellent job of calming the fears that every parent face of talking about sex with their children.
Jim Burns has written a wonderful book to prepare parents for crucial conversations with their children. I wish I had this my children were pre teens and teenagers.
