This book covers many types of problems found in middle school math competitions. Its explanations are clear, and it has several examples on each topic. Each of the 20 chapters has 20 problems for students to work through, and each problem has a fully worked-out solution in the answer key.It would have been helpful if the author had included more explanations as to why the various formulas and techniques work. Too many topics are presented as, "here's the formula; let's see some examples." That being said, students can still benefit greatly by working through the examples and practice problems.I look forward to seeing further books from Mr. Doan.
