This fabulous book offers 52 high quality activities for helping to teach children about the bible. The three sections of the book offer activities related to the Old Testament, the New Testament and Christian Value topics such as love, friendship and dealing with temptation. Each activity includes a bible quotation, a Topic description, a "Bible Exploration" citation to a specific bible reading, a memory verse, a "think about this" reflection questions, an overview of the story or value and detailed activity directions, complete with illustrations. This is a great resource for adding fun and creativity to the way you teach your children or students about the Bible.
The teaching is solid and the hands-on crafts are excellent. One of the best things about this book is that the crafts are simple and use supplies you usually have in stock.
There are 52 lessons. Each one has a basic 2-3 paragraph introduction/explination on a bible story and a craft or activity. They storeies are a little on the boring side.
I love the idea of this book. Now am looking forward to getting into it with our kids.
