This true account of a young dancer was educational on many levels, including about a condition I have known several young ladies to have, and they too had to wear an uncomfortable back brace to treat their scoliosis. It also conveyed information about dancing, dance competitions and the pressures and grit a person has to possess to compete in this athletic endeavor. Young people who read this story will benefit from this information, and they might also be inspired to find that special sport or activity that to them means pushing themselves to do their best no matter what. Barbara Rudow's writing of this young girls life story is a blessing to those who read it.
