I asked for this for Christmas and have been reading it every night before bed. There is a short story and occasionally a page of quotes for each day and then some bible verses to look up at the end. They are interesting stories, so even when I think I am too tired to read it I become intrigued and finish it before I even have a chance to think twice about it. It is a great way to end my day and I even look forward to it.As for age groups, the stories are relatable for any student. I am in college and get a lot out of it. He refers to being on "campus" so anyone who spends time at a school would relate.
It's difficult to find devotions that relate to the high school/college age group. My daughter had heard Rick Christian on a radio show, and was impressed by his knowledge and delivery. She is very pleased with this book.
If i could give this 10 stars, I would. I'm out of college, and I still use this devotions books to help guide me in my walk with God. The devotions are short, get to the point, and use creative yet grounded storytelling to talk to the hearts of young people about some of challenges we face living in a secular world. I will definitely would recommend, and will be getting a copy for my younger sister whose just about to go to college :)
I bought this to send to my niece while she was in jail......when she came out she made 'huge' changes in her behavior and in her life. That should say it all.......
