I checked this book out of the library almost every month for years when I was a little kid. I'm still convinced a couple decades later that it's the coolest thing you could give a kid.The best part about this book is that there are large scanning electron microscopic images of all sorts of creatures. My personal favorite was the beef tapeworm, bright orange and alien. There's also a fair amount of information on the animals pictured, considering the reading level.Don't be grossed out by the mites and worms- be inspired by these beautiful, alien critters!
This is a great book. Full page photos and great information. Ideal for young children! Check out the rest of the series, my son loves these!
