This brochure type guide is not the most detailed, but if you are in a boat or on a dock next to water, this waterproof guide is a quick way to make general identifications of the common birds in the South Florida Area. Clear pictures with names and general markings this guide enables the beginning birder to do a general identification, so later they can look up for more detail using other more detailed field guides. I personally use them for prep before an outing. Clear, easy to use, and having the ability to resist water these brochure guides are a gateway to bigger better guides. Fun to use for kids, too!!
We just moved to this area and needed a simple and quick way to id the many birds by us. Though simple and quick if I or my family want to learn more, now they have a name.
