I read this publication every year when it is released and enjoy it immensely. I live in the NY area and most of my area hospitals have consistently been on their top list. I suffer from several major illnesses so it is comforting to know that the treatment I am receiving is not only obviously to me the best but I like knowing they are being recognized as the best. This magazine for some reason seem to be a bit better organized this year, while a bit less pages but something more I cant put my finger on. I don't want to say better organized because that would make one believe it was disorganized in the past and it wasn't but to me just organized in a way that I found it even more pleasant to read. I would recommend this to not only anyone who is ill and looking for a top hospital but anyone in general who has an interest in the Medical Community.
Very informative. I'm going to keep this issue for quite some time. I have a family member having some serious health problems and I feel this might be helpful to get a second opinion and diagnosis. Lucky, the hospital she's in is ranked high, which is very reassuring for me. I'm so relieved to have read about it in this magazine. Even her Dr was listed as one of the top Dr's. Anyone who is experiencing serious or unusual/rare problems should have this.
Excellent guide for those seeking a good medical organizations. For my purposes, I was researching possible new retirement areas of the country and, needing medical services more and more, the guide help identify potential areas.
I am in my senior years and like many aged people I take more of an interest in health related issues than in the past. I picked up this U.S. News and world Report 2016 Best Hospitals in our library. It is filled with valuable and helpful material. It comes out in a magazine format and is organized into six chapters covering a wide range of topics.Chapter one covers "on medicine's front lines." Some of the topics include prevention strategies, cancer research, the superbug battle and other issues. Chapter two deals with "patient power." Weight loss, early defense, diet information and other issues are covered. Chapter three lists the best hospitals. Chapter four is all about "children's health." Chapter five lists the best children's hospitals. The final chapter lists the best regional hospitals. This issue also has the internet sites listed on page six if you desire further information on health issues.If you are interested in a comprehensive basic guide to health care you should check out this "2016 edition of Best Hospitals" put out by U.S. News and world report.
