This booklet is a goof reference for any non-profit wanting a guide to the useful life of equipment they depreciate. If your depreciation policy refers to this guide then your auditors should accept the life estimates of your equipment without question. Of course it contains a lot of items not normally used by most non-profits.
was very good in delivery of top notch service. The useful life guide is pretty much the same as it has been since I got my first copy in 1988. Every four or five years, just as my old copy is starting to get worn out, a new edition.
The depreciable assets have been greatly expanded. This helps tremendously over previous versions. We use this resource several times a month
This is a 28 page booklet which laundry lists facilities, fixed plant, and various medical equipment, furniture and fixtures along with the estimated useful lives of these assets. Many are simply the economic depreciation scheudles for the assets which the IRS includes in their depreciation schedules. For an appraiser, the listing is concise and helpful guide to establishing a fair market value as long as the original cost is known. In opinion of this reviewer, the text is a bit overpriced as when my order arrived at the bookstore I was informed of a price increase from $25 to $38. In my opinion, the information you get isn't worth more than the $1.00 per page the American Hospital Association is charging
Was very useful but left out many items I was looking for, it would be better if it followed the ECRI nomenclature for device naming, it's still worth the cost.
The latest version has been immensely helpful not only with life of an asset but with direction, guidance and definitions of all sorts of purchases.
