good starter book for those that are wanting to become more familiar with tarot. gives basic meaning, core meanings, along with the meanings in love, money, work, and general meanings. best thing about the book is that it is in full color, my only "meh" is none of the symbols are truly gotten into which is important particularly in the rider-waite system.
Venefica has been studying tarot, searching for answers, since she was twelve. It has revealed many of its secrets to her, but it has not lost its mystery. There are always new layers to uncover and thatâs what she is committed to do. Now she is teaching us to do it as well. She tells readers that âthe tarot is a partner on your life-pathâ. People usually arrive seeking answers but leave with clarity and self-guidance.The book includes a Glossary of Tarot-Related Terms, descriptions and interpretations for all Major and Minor Arcana cards, an appendix of Tarot Symbolism, a Troubleshooting section, sample spreads, and basic instructions for working with a tarot deck.Full-color, updated modern design, utilizing the illustrations from the Radiant Rider-Waite Tarot deck, make this book a new and valuable addition to any tarot afficianadoâs library.(TarotWise.com received a free review copy of this deck.)
I'm often asked by those who want to learn tarot what their first deck should be. I used to recommend the Universal Rider Waite but these are so much more vibrant that I've switched to recommending the Radiant tarot. It's more magical to look at while allowing newcomers to learn using Rider Waite; the deck referred to most often in books on tarot and who's pip cards make it easier to learn. Hooray for this updated take on the classic Rider Waite deck.
This book and deck are amazing. I'm a professional tarot reader and this set helps me greatly in being able to work with my clients.
