INITIAL NOTES:This book is pretty easy to read and understand and the numbers are not difficult to calculate. Numerology is one of those things that can be either taken ultra-seriously or as mere entertainment. I'd say I'm somewhere in the middle. While there certainly are many coincidences that I want to believe, not every single thing is going to "line-up" the way they are expected. I find it best to keep an open mind and take things with a grain of salt.Since I'm relatively new to numerology, I won't comment on the accuracy of the meanings of the numbers that Jean Simpson has compiled here. Like I said, some are dead-on and some are a little "iffy". Your mileage may vary.Jean Simpson says she's using "Pythagorean Numerology" in this book, though she does briefly describe several other types of numerology. She also makes occasional comments like, "It's important to note that I don't consider W and Y to be vowels, even when they...stand in for the sound of one," (Pg. 106). Her use of the word "I" makes me wonder whether or not other numerologist DO or DO NOT use the letter Y for a vowel. This is a little important for me because the first person (other than myself) I tried to do a reading for, her name was Krystal. So...um...who knows?WHAT I LIKE ABOUT THIS BOOK:Chapter 2 will give you a quick list of many of the numbers you will be able to calculate using the subsequent chapters in the book. This is nice because, if you're like me, finishing any book is a real challenge. Using this structure, I looked up each number from the list one-by-one, read the material, and made the calculations.
