An inspiring new rhetoric that takes some of the best ideas animating the field of composition and makes them teachable.Everyone’s an Author focuses on writing as it really is today―with words, images, and sounds, in print and online―and encourages students to see the connections between their everyday writing and academic writing. It covers the genres college students need to learn to write―and teaches them to do so across media. It bridges the gap between Facebook and academic writing, showing how the strategies students use instinctively in social media can inform their academic writing. And it provides a strong rhetorical framework that guides students in the decisions they need to make as authors today. The version with readings includes an anthology of 35 readings.

I got this as a textbook for class. I didn't read it for fun or anything but it was great as far as required textbooks go. I liked the durability of it and the content wasn't torturous to read, I feel like I learned alot. Most of the content was either interesting or informative and to the point, formatted in a way that was easy to read and understand. I feel like the authors went out of their way to format the most boring and hard to understand information in a way that provided clear examples and descriptions as possible which I appreciated. If an english teacher was looking for a textbook for a similar class I would DEFINITELY recommend this one. Please don't consider my review writing as an example of what I learned, I promise I can write an excellent college evel paragraph when I try!

This textbook is full of the most rank bias and propaganda I have yet encountered in school. Thankfully I was able to dispense with actually reading it, for the most part, because learning new material while annoyed and disenfranchised is a difficult task. While a few of the readings were interesting, most of them simply belabored one of the various agenda points. The sheer number of references to race and gender topics, Obama, and global warming would be laughable if it weren't such a sad picture of the politics interwoven with today's higher education system.

I bought this for my first semester in college, for ENC-101. I had to use this book a fair amount of times in the class and I was very happy with the construction of the binding and size. The way most of the writing and pages are set up, anyone can learn a lot from this book. The downside that I found from this book was that the pages are quite brittle and can rip or smudge from light use. I've even noticed that I left a fingerprint mark on one of the pages, which is rare for me to do since I try to keep clean hands when studying or doing school work. Overall I am happy with this purchase and would prompt one to pick up the new copy if they are a perfectionist or doesn't like much wear and tear on their books.

It's required for college so whether or not it's any good has no reasoning behind it . My instructor requires me to Hare and with it I would not pass the course . With added lecture from the professor of course the books good

I am reading it for school, but it's really interesting and teaches you a lot about writing And how to do it when you come across it

I purchased this item for my daughter in college. The item is as described. It's was a good purchase for the price.

Very good book, my teacher used it for his class. Though I didn't really like all the readings there were some pretty fun stories. The content on writing a research paper helped me out so much when I was citing my paper. I highly reccomend this book.

Required reading. Not interesting. I would not choose if I did not need for a class.
