I am not a fan of how the information is this book is laid out. The font is also a bit on the small side making it hard to read. The end of chapter summaries aren't very informative for summing up what you just read. While better than the workbook that goes with it, I am not a fan of either. This was a required text for my medical coding class. The price was great on and saved me some money. As we're currently buying textbooks for 4 people in our household, is a great way to shop.
This book couldn't decide whether to be text book or a reference book. The lay out was confusing. I also found that there are factual errors in this book. They claim psoriasis is fungal which is plain wrong it is an Autoimmune disorder. It also refers to hyper-kyphosis and hyper- lordosis as just lordosis and kyphosis. Everyone has a kyphosis and lordodic curve! With these two obvious errors it makes me question the accuracy of the rest of the book. This book is neither a well laid out text book or a trustworthy reference book!
These two nurses have written an updated version of their highly useful (to nurses and coders) work. It not only provides the ICD-9 codes for the diseases discussed but now also provides the ICD-10 codes. Very nice.
This workbook stinks. There is not rhyme or reason to the questions. You have to flip back and forth in the chapter to answer the questions with this workbook. It took hours to complete my workbook assignments. I was happy to be able to rent the textbook to this workbook. The book is horrible. Pages are thin, print is small and I pity anyone that has this text for Pathology. I got an A in the class; but I worked and earned it.
Very fast shipping and was perfect for my medical terminology 2 class and I also bought the workbook, which was optional, but I found that I really do not need the workbook. This book came very quick and was in perfect shape and wrapped in plastic. Thank you
The book was in excellent condition and is very thorough in it's diagonosis of diseases. It is a technical book, however, and is for studying. This is not a "light" read.
Book looks in good condition. Written and highlighted which is okay. They only thing that i didnt like and only giving 3 stars is because it smells like medicine. It doesn't smell much as the first time i got it. But everytime i open it it smells. Overall, good condition. I only hate the smell.
the quality of paper and appearance was really awful and . The book had an odor and I had to clean it with alcohol and perfume. Certainly price was fair enough but still you expect to have something better in paper format . Though the paper format is more practical since it is readable v CD or E book with damages context.
