Most physicians would not want to read it. It is an elaborate guide to the in's and out's of pricing physician services, which follows long and meticulous sets of rules that are hard to find (except here). If this is what you want, it is five-star. If you want information on what Medicare prices should be or what you would like them to be, this is not that. This is the government rules, as they exist today, for pricing physician services. E.g. 22 minutes of physician time = $52.12 + 12 minutes of nursing time = $14.82 + pair of rubber gloves = $0.14 and so on, like that. When is a piece of equipment calculated for a five-year life, seven-year life, and so on. What kind of surgical dressing is separately billed as a line item and what kind is considered "bundled" into a debridement procedure. Why is a sling (A4565) billed to Medicare Part B but a crutch (E0110) billed to DME, and so on.
Called a physicians guide, but I can assure you no physician can read this. Sorry this is no physicians guide.
